Best Junior: Megan Harle's A/d D.E.Golden Satin Boar
J.P.B. Self AA (3)-
1st - Melissa Harle's A/d Cream sow - Good top & under Colour, Good Head, Eye, Ear and width. Good Preparation, Break in back spoils.
2nd - Ross Harle's A/d P.E.Golden sow - very nice ear, eye, good colour & preparation. Slightly plain on head for my liking.
3rd - Beth Holdaway's 5/8 Black sow - solid condition, Very nice head, eye & ear, lovely width of muzzle, good colour, would have been placed alot higher if the stats wouldnt have spoilt.
J.P.B Non-Self AA (5) -
1st Megan Harle's A/d D.E.Golden satin boar - Very good width of head, coat, ear, preparation, nice satinisation.
2nd Skye Bolton's P.E.White English Crested Boar - Very good profile, nice tight crest, just slightly off centre, Stats spoilt.
3rd Ian Shuttle's Silver agouti boar - good type, feet, ticking, fair chest & under colour, wide white belly.
Grand Challenge AA AV (9) -

Juvenile Pets, Grand Challenge AV AA (10) -
1st Kiralie Rider's A/d rough black & cream aby x sow - very fit, friendly, lovely clean soft coat. clean ears, smelt nice.
2nd Skye Bolton's A/d smooth orange & white sow - lovely soft coat & sheen, nice size.
3rd Kiralie Rider's A/d rough chocolate himmy boar - Very nice size, clean coat, grease gland, ears.
Adult pets, Grand Challenge AV AA (51) -
1st Louise Harle's A/d rough aby cross boar - Fit, good shoulder, clean ears and grease gland. Friendly purry pig!!!
2nd Marina Tomlin's 5/8 tri - colour sow - Solid condition for a intermediate, lovely soft clean shiny coat, friendly.
3rd Jacqui Nicholson's U/5 roan aby sow - perfectly clean all over, and very talkative!!! This is what i like to see
Overall stats where a problem on the day, also a big thank you to Barbara   glue for asking me to judge. Judging engagements are always welcome.

Best Junior: Lewis Webb's U/5 D.E.Golden American Crested Sow
Juvenile Purebred, Grand Challenge AV AA (16) -
1st Lewis Webb with his U/5 D.E.Golden American Crested Sow, a beautiful exhibit which showed a good full even white crest, well groomed and presented, well done for taking his first Best Juvenile Purebred!
2nd Best Juvenile was D. Tresise with her 5/8 Self Black Sow of lovely condition, nice body shape, good top & under colour with fair preparation.
3rd Best Juvenile was Olivia Timms with her A/d P.E.Golden American Crested Sow which showed a lovely profile, good white crest with 75% coverage just slightly open but still a worthy contender.
Super Pet Grand Challenge AV AA (45) -
1st Joy Smith’s U/5 Red Dutch Ridgeback type boar; this exhibit was a real character, extremely friendly, well prepared, and mischievous in his box when being judged! This pig went on to take Best Adult Exhibitors pet and Best Super Pet.
2nd Best Super Pet was D. Tresise’s Adult Tri-coloured Boar, which was exceptionally fit, shown clean with a lovely soft coat; this pig went Best Juvenile Pet.
3rd Best Super Pet was Sara Govus’s A/d Aby Tri-Coloured, Lovely & Fit, Very adorable, shown without any faults. This pig was 2nd Best Adult Pet.
I would like to thank George Leete for doing my book, all my stewards especially Ashley for staying with the job all day and Catriona Rowland for asking me to judge.

1st Megan Harle’s 5/8 D.E Golden sow, Good Head, Eye and Ear. Good width to head, Good even top and under colour, lovely condition, well groomed. Well done!
2nd Charlotte Horscroft’s Adult Ivory Satin Sow, Lovely Satinisation with clear colour, good head, eye and ear, Nice Condition, quite well groomed.
3rd Gemma Addison’s Adult Brindle Abyssinian Boar, Good Layout, mane head furnishing, ridges and harshness to coat.
Juvenile Guide Standard Grand Chellenge AA -
1st Ellen Gearings 5/8 Teddy Sow, Lovely Short dense coat, nice head eye and ear, fair belly, shame it had hat fault
Juvenile Pets Grand Challenge AV AA (36) -
1st Skye Bolton’s Adult Cream agouti and cream Crested Sow, As soon as this pig hit the table I knew it was going to be hard to beat. She was shown in beautiful condition, with lovely soft clean coat a lovely pig, Well done Skye! This pig went on to take Best super pet.
2nd Gemma Addison’s 5/8 Smooth sow, a very pretty pig with a soft clean coat, very talkative, again a very nice pig.
3rd Katie Clydesdale’s U/5 Rough boar, very friendly, cheeky, lovely soft clean coat and well handled!
4th again was Katie   this time with an Adult rough sow, well shown with lovely soft coat, very friendly and very talkative! A lovely pig
5th Caitlin Poole’s 5/8 Longhaired boar, lovely clean soft coat, very cheeky! Again a lovely pig.
6th Michael Ashwell’s 5/8 smooth boar, very smart mis-marked tort and white, extremely friendly, surprisingly well groomed Well Done!
Mid-Sussex CC 1/7/07, Judging J.P.B's & Juv Pets
Juvenile Purebred, Grand Challenge AV AA:
1st Melissa Harle with her Adult Self Cream sow; this exhibit was well groomed and prepared, with a good even shade of top & under colour, just a shade hot, with a lovely head eye and ear, also a good width to muzzle.
2nd Lewis Webb with his intermediate P.E Golden American crested sow, this cavy was presented with a lovely short well groomed quality coat, with an extremely good top and under colour, lovely head, eye and ear, with a well formed crest, just to be critical just slightly uneven on the white which unfortunately held her back.
3rd Gemma Addison’s Adult Brindle Abyssinian boar, which showed a good density to coat, head furnishings, lovely layout and harshness to coat.
4th Fiona Porter's U/5 Black Dutch, which showed an exceptionally good colour, with lovely blaze and cheeks, sound ears, good saddle and undercut, although diminutive stops.
J.P.B Guide Standard AV AA:
1st Kelly Edward's Adult Slate sow, with a good head, eye and ear. Good colour just slightly patchy in under colour, unfortunately shown long in coat with stats on rear.
2nd Kelly Edward's 5/8 Slate sow, which showed a very good top and under colour, with a nice head, eye and ear. However unfortunately again shown long in coat with stats on rear.
3rd Kelly Edward's 5/8 Silver Agouti Teddy sow, which showed a lovely short plush coat, good density and belly with a lovely head, eye and ear, however sadly had hat fault which held her back for beating her fellow stable mate’s for second place.
Juvenile Pet AV AA:
1st Megan Harle with her Adult rough boar. He was shown with a lovely soft clean coat, excelled in condition, with clean ears and very charming!
2nd Caitlin Poole’s U/5 Tri-coloured crested sow, very adorable, clean, well presented and undoubtedly vocal!
3rd Best Juvenile Pet was Gemma Addison’s eye catching Adult silver & white agouti satin sow, which had a lovely soft textured coat, clean and friendly. However a few stats held her back for a higher placing.
I would like to thank George Leete for doing my book, and Gemma Addison for stewarding all day. Also top marks to Geraldine for her strawberries, meringue & Devon cream. Her desserts are to die for! And a final thank you to Daphne Beardsley for asking me to judge at Mid-Sussex, always a pleasure.

Best Juvenile Pet: N. Byatt’s U/5 Himi X Peru Sow  

Best Adult Pet: S. Govus’s Adult Smooth Sow
My Best Juvenile Pet today was N. Byatt with her U/5 Himi X Peru Sow, which was shown very clean with a soft coat and very well prepared, and extremely friendly. 2nd Best Juvenile Pet went to Danielle Tresise with her Adult Smooth tri-coloured Boar, also   shown well prepared with a lovely coat, Excels condition and very friendly. 3rd Best Juvenile Pet went to Katie Clydesdale with her 5/8 Merino, shown again with a lovely soft clean coat also very friendly and very well prepared.

    My Best Adult Pet today was S. Govus with her Adult smooth tri-coloured sow, very fit, Friendly and talkative. My 2nd Best Adult Pet went to Galore Cavy Stud (Lindsey Clydesdale) with her 5/8 Roan Abyssinian which was very, very Friendly! Clean and exceptionally talkative. 3rd Best Adult pet went to Caroline Muncey with her Adult agouti Rex Boar which excelled size and Condition, also very friendly.

    Best Super Pet went to N. Byatt with her lovely U/5 Himi X Peru sow. Well done! 2nd Best Super pet went to S. Govus with her Adult smooth Tri-coloured sow. 3rd Best super pet went to Danielle Tresise with her Adult tri-coloured Boar. Well done to all! I would like to thank Emily for doing my book, Lilly and her crew for my lovely dinner, Thank You.
London Championships 1/9/07, Judging Juvenile Purebreds
To judge the London felt a real privilege. There were some real class pigs on show today. I had a very good entry of 77 to judge, unfortunately some absentees. Firstly I would like to thank Kathryn for stewarding for me all day, and to Catriona for asking me to judge. Thank you.
    Beth Holdaway had a clean sweep in the Self challenges AA 1st with her Adult Black Sow, which showed good condition, lovely head, eye and ear, quite well groomed, good width to muzzle, very Good top and under colour however the odd coloured hairs spoiled. This pig also went on to win the Best Junior Award, Well done! 2nd was Beth’s 5/8 Black Sow, solid condition, nice head, eye and ear, lovely cobby body shape, good top and und r colour, sadly not as well groomed as her stable mate which stopped her pushing for top honours, this pig went on to win third best Juvenile.
3rd Beth’s U/5 Black sow, good shoulder, top and under colour, very nice body shape, lovely profile, with fair grooming.
    Lewis Webb led the Non-Self challenges AA with his Adult P.E Golden American Crested sow, Very well groomed quality coat, this pig showed a well formed shaped pin-point crest with a good white coverage, also with extremely good top and under colour. This pig went on to win 2nd Best Juvenile, well done. 2nd Best Non-Self went to Katie Clydesdale’s 5/8 Ivory Satin Sow, which showed good satinisation, good head eye and ear, lovely clear colour, quite well groomed with a quality coat, went on to win 4th Best Juvenile. 3rd Cuttings Cavies U/5 D.E Golden Satin, good satinisation well down, nice head and eye, fair ear, good quality coat, fair grooming, but still a good attempt.
    Other pigs worthy of mention are Gemma Addison’s Brindle Abyssinian Boar, Dan Hobbs Adult Black English Crested sow and his team of Red Dutch, April Barr’s Adult Black Himalayan Boar and Lydia Spanswick’s 5/8 P.E White sow. Well done to every one.
